This has been a project in collaboration with students, the Minerribah Moorgumpin Aboriginal Elders in Council, and the school leadership team.

The houses introduce Jandai language to our campus and the mascots provide us with a sense of place and connection to our beautiful Bayside.

Dabobila – Blue (Galea)

Banggu – Green (Campbell)

Giwa – Yellow (Lynch)

Gunbing – Red (Morgan)

Quandamooka artist Xoe Mazzoni designed the mascots, Deanne Broome collaborated and sought permissions from Community and the changes were funded by a grant won by Amelia Martin and Claire Stanic. The grant is from Together For Humanity an inclusive, not-for-profit educational organisation that works with school communities to combat prejudice and advance belonging and inclusion.
