Bring your own device program (BYOD)

Please note: Chromebook, Andriod and Galaxy Tablets are unsuitable for the college environment. These devices require applications that are blocked by Education Queensland.

The Australian Government has introduced new laws, that mean you cannot purchase add-on insurance products such as ADP (Accidental Damage Protection) at point of sale, you will now be offered to purchase ADP via email 4 Days after purchase. We still recommend purchasing ADP.

Since 2020 Brisbane Bayside State College has operated, a whole school Bring Your Own Device (BYOD). BYOD engages the digital generation by nurturing individual learning experiences and 21st Century Skills.

At BBSC we recognize that students have access to 24/7 learning in a variety of mediums. Technology and devices can facilitate ‘just in time’ learning and with the introduction of digital textbooks across the school in 2020, access to a BYOD will enhance the learning experience.
