Guidance officers are employed by the Department of Education to work closely with students and their families, teachers, non-teaching professionals and in some instances departmental agencies and authorities. They do this in order to provide a wide range of support to students.
Guidance officers can assist students in several different areas; including personal counselling, career or academic life and educational assistance.
Lisa believes that all students are unique and they come to us with their own strengths and abilities with which we should enhance whilst they are with us at BBSC. Some students have more challenges than others, but they have the right to learn and they should be given the opportunity to succeed.
It's Lisa's hope that all students will leave BBSC after becoming the best version of themselves, so they can feel empowered, having meaningful relationships with others and contribute to society.
Students can see Lisa for a variety of reasons including career counselling and their overall wellbeing.
You can contact the school to make an appointment with the college's Guidance officer on (07) 3893 5333.
