Sun Safety Policy
The SunSmart Plan/Policy has been developed to ensure that all students and workers (ie teachers, staff and volunteers) of Brisbane Bayside State College maintain a healthy UV exposure balance which minimises the risk of skin cancer with appropriate sun protection measures, yet ensures some daily sun exposure for vitamin D requirements.
Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)
PBL (Positive Behaviour for Learning) is the schools student behaviour framework that is focused around explicit teaching of behaviours, strong policy and procedures and positive rewards.
Students have the opportunity to earn VIVO points for displaying explicit behaviours around, behaviour, attendance, uniform and being prepared for class.
Students can use these points to buy prizes at the VIVO shop including, BBSC uniform vouchers, Wirawira Vouchers, 'Skip the canteen line' tickets, discount camp vouchers as well as the regular favourites, canteen vouchers, stationery and formal and senior jersey draw tickets.
