Resource centre

Centrally located in the college, the Resource Centre is a hub for learning and social gathering. Students can avail themselves of the Resource Centre spaces from 8:00am, during both breaks and after school till 4:30pm. The large, airy central area is an alternate space for students to socialise and play games (Scrabble, Chess, Uno) while the outside rooms provide quiet spaces and computers for learning and a cushion room for those who love to read. New books are made available as soon as possible for all to enjoy. The vibrancy of the Resource Centre is maintained by an ever changing theme for each term.
Homework Club is available in the library on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3-4pm. School equipment (such as cameras) is available for borrowing by students as required by the subjects studied. To augment the computers available in most classrooms, laptops stored in the Centre are loaned in sets of five to classrooms via a booking system enabling a greater spread of use of technology across the school.

Textbooks which are part of the textbook hire scheme are issued from the Resource Centre. Students are issued with a photo ID card each year which enables them to borrow textbooks, equipment and any books in the Resource Centre. Another card – a print card with $5 credit – is issued to each student on entering the college which provides ease of access to any printing the student needs to do. Each year the $5 credit is added to the card but students have to individually top up the card credit if needed in between.
